Kristallalm

At 1,600 metres, at the top station.

The Alm sits high on the Klausberg, and guests ride up on the K-Express gondola. It is the first shared moment of the day, and one of the few when everyone is really together.

Nine parlours and a south-facing terrace. There is room for a small group as well as a big celebration. The kitchen cooks with what the valley provides.

Up there, timing is what counts for us: the light on the terrace softens in the late afternoon, and the last gondola sets a limit to the evening. If you want pictures after sunset, plan the way down in advance.

Thara SeeLounge

A private lake on the valley floor.

A hectare of private grounds with a lake in the middle, surrounded by meadows and the slopes of the Tauferer valley. Ceremonies take place on the shore, on the terrace or on the jetty.

Up to 200 guests, a covered terrace in case it rains, and the party goes on until 2 a.m. A partner hotel in the village takes care of overnight stays.

For us, the water is the real reason: it reflects the light and keeps faces soft even at midday. The jetty holds the ceremony, and in the evening the portraits of the two of you.

Stochas

A rooftop terrace above the Ahrntal.

Restaurant and bar in Steinhaus. The kitchen mixes South Tyrolean dishes with influences from all over the world: local or exotic, there is something for everyone. Then there are the “Köschtalan”, small plates for sharing that suit a long evening.

Upstairs is the rooftop terrace, over 200 square metres and the largest public one in the Ahrntal. For a wedding you can hire the whole house: up to 150 guests for a standing aperitif, 70 seated.

For us it is the short way: if you marry down in the valley and want a small celebration afterwards, you are there in a few minutes. The terrace keeps the sun until the very end.
